About the Speaker
Karley Alleyn is a BC-based educator and assessment leader whose research on educator assessment identity has shaped professional learning across British Columbia. With over a decade of classroom experience, she has taught and designed assessment courses for both pre-service and practicing teachers and founded the Assessment Accelerator for Educators, a mentorship program supporting K–12 teachers in transforming their assessment practices. Karley has presented at international education conferences, the Yukon Teachers’ Association Biennial Conference, and the 2024 Empowerment Ecosystem Summit, and continues to lead PD on equitable, identity-affirming assessment practice as a consultant with the Canadian Assessment Centre.
